ANNA TRILLO
PHD ARCHITECT
Born and raised in Italy, she graduated with honours as Architect at the University of Naples and
subsequently she acquired extensive experience in Milan, combining professional practise and a PhD
in Urban Design at the Milan Polytechnic.
In 2003 she moved to Barcelona, where she began her career in Yacht design with GCA architects.
During her work with this firm as Designer and Project Leader, she was responsible for the interior
design of the 175 ft sailing yacht Nirvana and for many commercial projects and luxury hotels,
responsible for the total design process from initial sketches to completion.
Her practise is based on a theoretic approach that she had also developed in several publications and
books about Architecture and Urban Design.
She met Sandrine Melot in Barcelona and set up together MELOT+TRILLO Architects Designers in 2011,
sharing the vision of multidisciplinary creative practice.
SANDRINE MELOT
INTERIOR DESIGNER
Since 1995 this French interior designer has been designing and executing numerous projects for
commercial (hotels, restaurants, offices) and residential interiors.
Having studied marketing and communication, she worked for several years as
Communication Manager for an important industrial group.
In 2006, her first yacht project led her win the World Superyacht Award in the Semi-Custom Motor
Yacht Open Sport Cruiser division.
Sandrine’s capacity to analyse her clients’ needs and wishes in close collaboration with them, her
experience in managing complex projects, together with her attention to details, brings to life unique
living spaces reflecting owner’s vision
Following her meeting with Anna Trillo in Barcelona in 2011, they decided to make available to their
clients their complementary skills by starting MELOT+TRILLO Architects designers.
